A HUGE Thank You to our Eustace Crew Parents!
This past week was a very busy one for our team and their parents.
Many, many thanks to all who spent many hours working tirelessly to set up, run, and break down our food tent. Our tent is always among the finest on the banks of the Schuylkill. This weekend it was made even more so by the addition of the beautiful photo tributes to our seniors and the very festive t-shirt display! Thanks also to the parents who assisted with the pasta dinner before the regatta, it was a great success as well!
Looking forward to Nationals next weekend and the crew banquet the week after (5/30).
Go Eustace!
Stotesbury Food List - 2 Days
Everyone,
Attached are the food assignments for Friday and Saturday’s Stotesbury Regatta. Everyone is rowing at least once on Friday, so we’ll need a good assortment of food.
PLEASE NOTE: if you child’s boat does not qualify for Saturday’s semi-finals/finals, you DO NOT need to send your assigned food. I’m hoping that everyone does qualify, so I tried to vary the assignments based on timing and what you brought the day before.
There are TWO food lists, please be sure to check your assignment for each day.
GO EUSTACE!
Thanks.
Tony

Dear 2013 Stotesbury Cup Regatta Athletes, Coaches, Family and Fans:
The Schuylkill Navy of Philadelphia is very excited for the 87th Stotesbury Cup Regatta. The 2013 Stotesbury Cup Regatta promises to be one of our most exciting events in recent history. Almost 200 teams, 1,000 boats and 5,700 athletes are participating in Stotesbury in 2013.
With record numbers upon us, The Schuylkill Navy is proud to announce a new partnership with CBS Radio and CBSPhilly.com. This partnership with CBS is going to bring many fresh and exciting aspects to Stotesbury, while still preserving our 87 years of tradition. It is our goal to grow Stotesbury beyond the participating schools and families and expose the exciting sport of rowing and this wonderful event to a new demographic.
CBS Radio is the market leader in radio here in Philadelphia which includes: SportsRadio 94WIP, KYW Newsradio 1060, 98.1 WOGL, Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, CBS Sports Radio 610 and the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies Radio Networks.
CBSPhilly.com is the online market leader for news, sports, weather, events and information combining the power of CBS Radio and CBS-3 TV all in one location.
CBS Radio will be flexing its muscles promoting Stotesbury on all of its stations. Additionally, all of the CBS Radio stations will be on-site with live broadcasts, promotional items and more. CBSPhilly.com will also host a Stotesbury Cup Regatta micro-site with everything you need to know about the event.
CBS will also be aligning great partners and sponsors to take the Stotesbury Regatta “beyond the water.” From enriched food & beverage offerings to enhanced shopping to on-site entertainment, CBS will help make your Stotesbury Experience one you will not forget!!
All of our efforts are geared toward growing The Stotesbury Cup Regatta and supporting the work of the Schuylkill Navy of Philadelphia in lending support to programs like Philadelphia City Rowing, the non-profit that introduces rowing to inner-city students who might not have the opportunity to enjoy the sport without this wonderful program.
STOTESBURY VILLAGE
The Stotesbury Village is our newest major attraction at this year’s Stotesbury Cup Regatta. The Stotesbury Village will feature enhanced food & beverage offerings including Botto’s Italian Sausage, Little Caesar’s Pizza and the Coca-Cola Experience. You will also be able to Explore Toyota in the Stotesbury Village with Toyota’s latest line of vehicles on site for your exploration.
While there, experience a “meet and greet” with U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Rowers Taylor Ritzel and Caroline Lind and take a picture with the gold medals.
Other highlights include the best in home theatre, graduation and Father’s Day gifts from the HiFi House and take a ride in the “Bucket Truck” courtesy of Bartlett Tree Experts (allowing you to experience the race from 80-feet in the air!). For a full list of Stotesbury Village partners and activities, click here.
STOTESBURY U
With college on the horizon for many Stotesbury athletes, CBS and Stotesbury have created Stotesbury U, a mini-college fair on the water. With students and parents together, this is a great opportunity to explore some local colleges in between heats and get a head-start on the college search process. Join Penn State, Temple and others at Stotesbury U at the 2013 Stotesbury Cup Regatta.
This will be the first of two newsletters you will receive from Stotesbury and CBS over the next two weeks. Coaches, please forward these emails to all of your Stotesbury athletes, parents, family and friends!

We look forward to a great event and partnership with CBS Radio and CBSPhilly.com.
Warmest Regards,

Team Pasta Dinner – May 16th
Hello All!
Next Friday and Saturday is the Stotesbury Regatta!
Every year at this exciting time for it is customary for the our team to have a mass and pasta dinner on Thursday night. This year, since the kids will row on the Schuylkill at Thursday’s practice and will possibly get back late, we will have to forgo the mass and simply have the dinner with a special blessing.
The dinner will be held at Bishop Eustace and begin about 7:30 – so plan on a pick up around 8 or 8:15pm.
As always, we would love to have some volunteers to facilitate, serve and ugh… clean up :)
Please let me know if you are interested!
